It was cold! I tried to stay behind Joe at the start to stay warm, but he ran too fast! Mark was smiling way too much! Brother Larry gave me a high five. My feet killed me on the 3rd loop, my 3rd straight trail race with foot problems. Luckily I brought my Nike Free Trail shoes and they felt good on the final loop. My friend and my cousin helped me at start/finish. Mark was still smiling way too much! My body and mind hurt, everywhere. It was very painful. Walking was just as painful as running, except slower. My IPOD kept me sane, uh I mean kept me from being less sane, on the 4th loop. I chased this beautiful lady from the last aide station till 1/3 mile from the finish line where I turned into a Gazelle and finished very strong. I got my blanket and medal. I sat in a chair, Brother Larry brought me a beer and opened the champagne. I was a two fisted drinker, as my body temp crashed. This was a very painful run/race. It hurt. I will never do one of these again! Until the next time...... Painful was the word of the day!
