Years Running: 4.
Years Running Trails: 4.
Why did I start Running Trails?:I'd never run on the road or trail before, but was out for a hike and saw someone run past. Looked fun, so I tried a few steps myself.
Favorite Trail Shoes: Montrail Hardrocks or Continental Divides (I
honestly can't tell the difference in feel between the two).
Favorite Running Trails: Barton Creek Greenbelt, Hill Country State Natural Area.
Favorite Trail Running Foods/Beverages: Sustained Energy, Clif and Powerbar gummies, fritos.
Likes/Dislikes about Trail Running: The people, the scenery, the
escape from streets and buildings,no repetitive motion injuries. Can't think of any dislikes.
Favorite Trail/Ultra Races: Cactus Rose 100 Mile.
How do I Train?: No plan, run whatever distance/time feels right each time I go out. No plan, run whatever distance/time feels right each time I go out. Luckily, I end up running long often enough to be adequately prepared for races. Not afraid to take time off to recover when needed. Personal Running Goals: Finish Cactus Rose every year . . . .
Fantasy Running Goal: Hardrock.
Favorite Running Quote: From a 7th grade student, on a Monday after
returning from a race "My mommy said that you ran 6.2 miles, not 62 miles"
