Sep 1 Trail Trash Collection at Hill of Life

Hello, all members, and especially Austinites and closer vicinity living creators.

The board meeting has an idea we’d like to fulfill (as it was discussed at a number of club meetings and done before) about helping out the City and announce a Trash Collection Date.

Since the school gets back in session next week (what hopefully means all the drunk teenagers get more mindful with their time and activities), and since there is last Capt’n Karl’s race on September 1st (what hopefully means many of our dear members may need some recovery between then and October races), we propose the date to be September 8th. Saturday. Time TBA, but obviously pretty early.

The board will be there (“there” means HOL). Please mark this date on your calendars and tune in to more details.

We will also have something fun planned for later that evening (minutes of board meeting are coming soon, so do details of what is planned for that evening).

We will provide garbage bags, general area and water coolers (may be some soda for the end?).

While it is a process we’re still figuring out (shouldn’t be a brain surgery, right, just pick up the damn trash off the trails?), we would like you to be aware of it somewhat ahead of time – and apologize for relatively short notice. We will do it again later for all who couldn’t attend:)
